Aurora
Aurora Aksnes, born June 15 1996 in Stavanger and is professionally known as Aurora or, sometimes, stylized in the form of AURORA is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval by music journalists and press. Half the World Away from Oasis was released by the group Oasis was made for an ad campaign for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is the Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry, who endorsed the tune Runaway by her, gave her the track a little more attention. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano in her loft and being fascinated by its music. Parents May-Britt along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as a career or hobby but as a way to develop. As a result, she started writing her own music. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork for being among her inspirations. To counter her mother's advice that her children shouldn't be trying to be famous through the songs she writes, but rather realize the importance of themselves and the impact they have on society. She began playing the piano at the age of six, and began writing music at age nine. The family did not know until the age of 14. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. She says she just likes to compose music. She believes that music can help any person feel better.
