Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is an Canadian actress most commonly known for her portrayal of Bo from the Showcase television show Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick, Canada. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk, a scholar and Peter Silk who was a well-known actor, director as well as a playwright, producer, educator, and Director of Drama, St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her mom watching while at work, and also attending play rehearsals. Silk was a prominent character in numerous commercials when she was in the midst of her childhood. She was in 1997 when she graduated with an associate's degree from St. Thomas University. The early stage work she did included at least two plays with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk was able to move to Toronto to pursue her acting profession in November 1999. During the next decade, she moved to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman met Silk at the Los Angeles Actors Workshop in 2007. They got married the year 2009 and wed at a civil wedding ceremony in December that same year. The year 2009 saw her cast in the role of Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was expecting while filming the final episode of the third series. She announced the baby's pregnancy to viewers during the Showcase Season Three pre-show special on January 6, 2013. Silk tweeted on June 20th 2013 that the show had returned to production. The fourth season debuted in June of 2013 through Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. The CNN Cable News Network named her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Parker) on Lost Girl as same-sex couples one of their all-time favorite television Couples. E!
