Holly has been divorced at least three times. She was the wife of Danny Quinn, an actor. They were separated in 1993. She first met Jim Carrey in 1994 during the auditions for Ace Ventura Pet Detective. Although she was not given the role, the two became close during filming for Dumb and Dumber. The couple married in 1996. They split after just one year. In 2001 she married Francis Greco. He was a Canadian investor banker. The couple had three sons: Henry, George and Alexander Holly Greco. In 2008, while married to Greco she became a Canadian citizen. They divorced in 2014. Holly has children in Oakville Ontario Canada. Holly, Grant and their families each created their own A Fund in 1992 at Hobart and William Smith Colleges to honor her brother Alexander. Holly described him as the "boy full of dreams, plans and hopes". In 1992, Holly, her father Grant, and their families created the A Fund in Hobart and William Smith Colleges in memory of Alexander, who, according to Holly "was a boy filled with desires, hopes and dreams."

Alaina Suddeth Suddeth's parents include Kristy Suddeth from Rossville in Georgia as well as J. J. Suddeth. Her father is process engineer in Chattanooga, Tennessee.Alaina started to sing when she was three. The first performances she performed in public came by a children's choir as well as an annual vacation spot that provided singing karaoke. She performed at churches and in eateries, on family holidays, and wherever she was able to within a 30 mile area. Alaina was eight year old when she took home the Southern Stars Pageant's talent competition. Following that year, Alaina was invited to perform at the Riverbend Festival's Kids talent stage. This festival permitted her to compete on its main stage in the age of 12 after she had played there for the past few years. She travelled to Orlando, Florida, when she was 10 to participate with the American Model and Talent Competition. She beat out hundreds of children in winning the contest. She sang at Tootsie's and other local bars along Broadway. Alaina won the WinniSTAR competition for young talent in 2009 at Lake Winnepesaukah. She also composed songs such as Leaving and Set Me Free. Alaina's cousin Holly Witherow was diagnosed with brain cancer. This encouraged her to begin singing. Prior to Idol, Alaina worked at CiC's Pizza. She went to Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe in Fort Oglethorpe Georgia and also was a cheerleader.
